Killarney and the Ring of Kerry
Wow, what a day it was! We woke up and had a wonderful full Irish breakfast, which is essentially the same as our breakfast but with more variety of sausages. After we ate we loaded the buses and headed off to Killarney. On our way up to Killarney we stopped at a small shopping area, and there was a small market featuring a variety of goods like handmade pottery, meat, cheese, scarves, honey, jam, and things of the like. Afterwards we drove around the Ring of Kerry, which was absolutely amazing! The mountains, the open fields, the cows (oh my goodness, there were a lot of cows), the sheep, everything was beautiful and so green! It wasn’t just a typical green; it was a deep forest green, and it was so incredible that I literally sat there on the bus and stared out the window, wondering how everything was so green.
During our trip around the Ring of Kerry, we stopped at a popular tourist destination. Our bus driver Liam called it a Kodak moment, which was a little funny because very few people actually carry Kodak cameras. Instead of trying to describe it to you I’m going to put up some pictures so that you can see how magnificent this place really was.
