AreaVibes 250 For $2,500 Short Essay Scholarship

AreaVibes scores and ranks cities and neighborhoods across the United States based on the Livability of each area. We believe that education is a vital component to Livability, as well as the key to our children’s future. To show our support and to contribute to the nation’s future generation of students, we are offering educational scholarship awards.

Open to all legal residents of the United States attending high school, college or university between the ages of 16 to 25. Simply complete the application below to apply.

How You Apply

Simply complete and submit the application above to apply. Please ensure that you meet all of the qualifications listed below prior to submitting your application. You may submit one application per scholarship award; any additional applications will not be reviewed or considered.

Who Can Apply

You must be a US citizen between the ages of 16 and 25 and enrolled as a full-time high school student, college student, university student or enrolled in any other accredited institute of higher learning.

How It Works

The AreaVibes 250 for $2,500 scholarship is awarded twice per calendar year based on the 250 word essay submitted with the application above. The scholarship can be used to cover any education related expenses such as tuition, books, housing, etc. The winner will be contacted directly via email and announced on our scholarship winner’s page.

How The Winner Is Selected

Eligible applications that are submitted will be judged based on the applicant’s ability to showcase a well written, thoughtfully and purposefully composed essay about subject above. All winners will be asked to verify their age as well as their enrollment in either high school, college, university or any accredited institute of higher learning.

About The Essay

The essay must be submitted in English, grammatically correct and no longer than 250 words.

The Solomon Law Group $1000 Scholarship Opportunity

College students today face many obstacles. One of those obstacles in paying for school. Paying for tuition, books, and food can get costly for students. At the Solomon Law Group in Columbia, SC, we value higher education and want to support those who pursue it.

That’s why we’re offering a twice-yearly $1,000 scholarship to students who are currently in or plan to start their first year of college or graduate school. Our lawyers are committed to helping students with their academics and investing in a better future.

Criteria:                    To further opportunities for those interested in personality type and theory, undergraduate and graduate students who will be attending an accredited university or college are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The scholarship is available to those who have completed at least 15 credit hours. Applications in all major fields of study are eligible.

Rule of Submission

Applicants must submit an essay of at least 1000 words. In this essay, you should communicate a personal statement about the use of personality type systems. Some ideas of things to consider:

  1. How you became interested in personality type
  2. How you have found it to be of use in your every day life
  3. What practical uses do the systems have that you think are most important?
  4. What authors or experts in the field most influenced you and why?
  5. How do you think these systems can be used to support personal growth?
  6. What misuses do you think there are of these systems?
  7. Your personal vision as to how type can lead towards a better society.
  8. How have you contributed to the study or use of personality type?

You should not try to answer all of those questions nor do you necessarily need to be limited to them. Choose a topic that has personal meaning or interest, is important to you, and communicates the key messages that you want to communicate. The only important thing is that your essay be focused on the use of personality type systems. Please note, because many students that apply for this scholarship have strong academic records, the quality of the essay will be weighed heavily in the selection of a winner.

Please include the following details in your application: full name, address, telephone number, email, your personality type(s), forum member name, an easily readable copy of your transcript, a list of academic and/or non-academic awards and achievements and the College or University you’re attending. Incomplete submissions will not be processed. There is no cost or charge of any kind to apply for this scholarship.

United Educators Foundation Scholarship

United Educators Foundation’s mission is to generate and provide contributive funding and resources that advance educational initiatives, and support charitable causes within the educational communities United Educators Credit Union cooperative serves. The foundation was established to help extend the credit union philosophy of ‘people helping people’ and enhance UECU’s support and focus on the education community. The United Educators Foundation is a separate entity from United Educators Credit Union. However, UECU is the primary funder and donates operational resources to run the foundation. United Educators Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization and donations received are tax-deductible.

Now Accepting Financial Literacy Grants!

UE Foundation will provide up to $2,000 in grants to teachers, departments or schools to support financial literacy efforts with their students. Submitted applications should support instruction of content related to budgeting, credit, money management, economics, saving and investing, or other personal finance topic. Applications for grants must be postmarked by December 15, 2017.

Applications for the Scholarship Award Program are Now Available!

United Educators Foundation will grant one $2,000 Educator Award, one $1,500 Education Major Award, and three $1,000 Student Awards.The deadline for these awards is Friday, February 2, 2018. Instructions for submitting your application are located within each document.

A committee of educators, foundation board of directors, and a representative from Education Minnesota will select the winners. Scholarship recipients will be notified in April of 2018.

 

MN Family Involvement Council (FIC) Scholarships
The MNFIC will award $10,000 in scholarships to help Minnesota credit union members continue their education. Anyone who is a member at an affiliated Minnesota credit union pursuing post-secondary education in the fall 2018/spring 2019 is eligible to apply.

The deadline to apply for the FIC awards is February 1, 2018.

The Annual FurnitureUK $2000 Scholarship 2018

Furniture UK is a UK based furniture retailer, publisher and manufacturer of be-spoke furniture.

This annual scholarship opportunity has been specifically geared towards students that are either currently pursuing or planning to pursue programs such as Design, Architecture, Environmental Studies, Engineering.

The topic of the short essay is “How Interior Design Can Improve Quality of Life“.

This would consist of a brief origin of woodworking, how it progressed over time and how it became an art form in contemporary society. Your essay should emphasize the power of interior design and should be valuable enough to help other people.

Eligibility Criteria

  • This contest is only open to students in high school currently, graduates attending college in the upcoming fall semester, and current college/university students.

Program Deadline

The deadline for submissions is April 1st, 2018. Your article/essay you plan to submit must be entered through the system by this date for consideration for the scholarship. The one entry that is awarded the scholarship will be selected on the 25th of April, 2018. The respective award (in the form of a cheque or bank transfer) will be delivered within a week of the winner’s selection.

GE-REAGAN FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

Honoring the legacy and character of our nation’s 40th President, the GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program rewards college-bound students who demonstrate exemplary leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship with financial assistance to pursue higher education.

Each year, the Program selects numerous recipients to receive a $10,000 scholarship renewable for up to an additional three years – up to $40,000 total per recipient. Awards are for undergraduate study and may be used for education-related expenses, including tuition, fees, books, supplies, room, and board. In addition, Scholars are invited to participate in a special awards program and receive ongoing leadership-development support.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for this award, applicants must:

  • demonstrate at school, at the workplace, and within the community the attributes of leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship;
  • demonstrate strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 grade point average/4.0 scale or equivalent);
  • be citizens of the United States of America;
  • be current high school seniors attending high school in the United States (students living on U.S. Armed Forces base and homeschooled students are also eligible); and
  • plan to enroll in a full-time undergraduate course of study toward a bachelor’s degree at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States for the entire upcoming academic year.

In addition, semifinalists must be nominated by an eligible community leader, such as a high school principal, elected official or executive director of a nonprofit organization, and must provide documentation to certify academic performance and financial need. Peck Law Firm Scholarship

The Peck Law Firm of Charleston, SC is proud to announce the 2018 Peck Law Firm Scholarship. This $2,000 scholarship is dedicated to helping the scholarship winner pay for a college, graduate school, or law school degree.

This is our third annual scholarship offering and we are excited to see the kinds of submissions we’ll get this year. Last year, we received over 200 submissions and had the opportunity to help our 2017 winner, Anthony Perez, pay for college.

The Peck Law Firm helps men and women find solutions to their divorce, child custody, alimony, property division, and family law problems throughout Charleston, Daniel Island Goose Creek, James Island, Johns Island, Ladson, Monck’s Corner, Mt. 2018 Grasshopper Entrepreneur Scholarship

Scholarship Award

Everyone at The Weisblatt Law Firm appreciates both the value of an education as well as the need to help others.  The escalating costs of education, including tuition, books, and housing, make it difficult for some students and their families to make ends meet.

In order to try and make financial issues a little easier, the Weisblatt Law Firm is pleased to offer a $1000.00 scholarship.  The ability to apply for this scholarship is open to any individual currently enrolled in a college or graduate program, or actively applying to attend one such program in 2018.

To apply for the Weisblatt Law Firm Scholarship, applicants must submit a 750+ word essay on the following topic:

In today’s day and age, information (even sensitive information) about businesses can be found easier than ever before. Businesses often protect themselves from the release of sensitive information by requiring employees to enter into non-competition agreements.  Should non-competes be enforced?  What about the employee’s need for subsequent employment?  How should courts strike this balance and what factors should they consider?
