This past year, 2017, we allotted $15,500 to eleven applicants.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">I. Eligible recipients should fit into at least one of the following categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An individual who will have completed at least two years of college by September 2018 with plans to become a teacher<\/li>\n<li>An individual who wishes to make a career change within education.<\/li>\n<li>A teacher wishing to change teaching fields.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">II. Applicant must have\/ had a connection with Independent School District 281.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Preferably: 281 graduate, present 281 teacher, current resident.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">III. Application Procedure:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A short autobiographical essay including education, occupation experiences.<\/li>\n<li>Transcripts of credits<\/li>\n<li>Planned program of study.<\/li>\n<li>One paragraph statement describing financial needs<\/li>\n<li>Any additional information deemed important to your situation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">IV. Deadline:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">Applications must be postmarked by May 7, 2018 and mailed to:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">Don Hanson, 25480 Birch Bluff Road, Excelsior, MN 55331 or<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 60px;\">Stu Stockhaus, 3437 Adair Av. Results:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Candidates will be contacted by mail to inform them of the Committee decision by the end of May.
