{"id":2420,"date":"2018-01-16T21:57:34","date_gmt":"2018-01-16T21:57:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/engage.augsburg.edu\/outsidescholarships\/?p=2420"},"modified":"2018-01-16T21:57:34","modified_gmt":"2018-01-16T21:57:34","slug":"20000-bridging-the-dream-scholarship-for-graduate-students","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/engage.augsburg.edu\/outsidescholarships\/2018\/01\/16\/20000-bridging-the-dream-scholarship-for-graduate-students\/","title":{"rendered":"$20,000 Bridging the Dream Scholarship for Graduate Students"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SallieMae is accepting entries for the Bridging the Dream Scholarship Program for Graduate Students between January 10, 2018 and February 14, 2018.\u00a0 This scholarship was established for students who will be enrolled at least half-time in post-secondary graduate study at an accredited graduate college or university in the United States for the entire 2018-2019 academic year.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Four (4) awards of $20,000<\/strong>\u00a0will be granted.\u00a0 One award will be granted to students in each of the following fields of major:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Business<\/li>\n<li>Law<\/li>\n<li>Medical\/Dental<\/li>\n<li>Other graduate field of study<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Eligibility Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for an award:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be a United States citizen or permanent resident of the United States, Puerto Rico, or the District of Columbia<\/li>\n<li>Be a currently enrolled college senior, a prospective graduate student, or currently enrolled at postsecondary graduate school and will be enrolled in graduate study at least half time at an accredited graduate college or university in the United States for the entire 2018-2019 academic year<\/li>\n<li>Have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent)<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate good moral character<\/li>\n<li>Permit release of information to Sallie Mae Bank for publicity and other marketing puposes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><strong>\u00a0HOW TO ENTER:<\/strong>\u00a0Potential Entrants go online to submit an Entry. Entrants must provide entries (each, an \u201cEntry\u201d), consisting of (i)Name, phone number, email address, postal address, graduate school, and expected graduation date, (ii) Self-declared academic information, participation in school and community activities, and work experience, (iii) A creative submission entry, which can include an essay, document, or video submission that addresses the following questions:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0Thinking back to your freshman year of college, what advice would you give to your undergrad self?<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0What was unique about your journey to graduate or professional school and who or what was the biggest influence on your decision to pursue a graduate or professional degree?).<\/p>\n<p>Limit of one (1) Entry per Entrant during the Contest Period<\/p><\/div>\n<p>The program is administered by Scholarship America<sup>\u00ae<\/sup>, the nation&#8217;s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals.
