{"id":2176,"date":"2017-11-02T14:11:12","date_gmt":"2017-11-02T14:11:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/engage.augsburg.edu\/outsidescholarships\/?p=2176"},"modified":"2017-11-02T14:11:12","modified_gmt":"2017-11-02T14:11:12","slug":"weisblatt-law-firm-llc-1000-00-scholarship-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/engage.augsburg.edu\/outsidescholarships\/2017\/11\/02\/weisblatt-law-firm-llc-1000-00-scholarship-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Weisblatt Law Firm, LLC $1000.00 Scholarship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Weisblatt Law Firm, LLC to Offer $1000.00 Scholarship<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Everyone at The Weisblatt Law Firm appreciates both the value of an education as well as the need to help others.\u00a0 The escalating costs of education, including tuition, books, and housing, make it difficult for some students and their families to make ends meet.<\/p>\n<p>In order to try and make financial issues a little easier, the Weisblatt Law Firm is pleased to offer a $1000.00 scholarship.\u00a0 The ability to apply for this scholarship is open to any individual currently enrolled in a college or graduate program, or actively applying to attend one such program in 2018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>How to Apply Before\u00a0\u2014\u2014<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To apply for the Weisblatt Law Firm Scholarship, applicants must submit a 750+ word essay on the following topic:<\/p>\n<p><strong>In today\u2019s day and age, information (even sensitive information) about businesses can be found easier than ever before. Businesses often protect themselves from the release of sensitive information by requiring employees to enter into non-competition agreements.\u00a0 Should non-competes be enforced?\u00a0 What about the employee\u2019s need for subsequent employment?\u00a0 How should courts strike this balance and what factors should they consider?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Our attorneys will select three finalists from the applications submitted by the July 15, 2018, 9 AM PST, deadline.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In order for an application to qualify:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Essays must be received by July 15, 2018 by 9am PST<\/li>\n<li>Applications attached in an email and\u00a0forwarded to scholarshipweisblatt@gmail.com\u00a0(.doc \/ .docx)<\/li>\n<li>The application should provide the name of the school where the applicant is enrolled or is actively seeking to enroll in 2018<\/li>\n<li>We expect a high level of writing quality in the essays both in content and in structure.\u00a0 Essays with more than one spelling error and more than two grammatical errors will be eliminated from consideration for the scholarship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The attorneys of the Weisblatt Law Firm LLC look forward to reading all of your submissions. \u00a0Please note that the scholarship check will be issued to the student\u2019s university \/ college of choice.
